Talking about “The Fall Guy,” this doesn’t fit into your regular action film category; it has its own unique qualities. Especially as it highlights the unsung heroes of the industry, the film is not only important for entertainment but also delivers an important message.
During the film, there is a dialogue that gives you an idea about the film: “You’re a stunt man, no one is gonna notice whether you are here or not,” showcasing how insignificant stunt men really are perceived.
Regarding the opening statistics, the film is definitely promising but it could perform even better. Especially as it appeals to an undermined class of entertainers, the film has immense potential.
Films with social messages often resonate with audiences; the sentimental factor always works well. Although the advertisement used stunt guys in some innovative ways, it wasn’t really enough.
One major flaw of the campaign was limiting it to the USA. Giving it a boost in Europe and Asia would have been a good strategy. However, if they still decide to expand to those markets, the numbers won’t fall drastically.
