Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver is now streaming. The movie is the second part of the already devastating Rebel Moon that came last year in December. The movie was released in 2 parts but Zack Snyder had a total plan of 6 parts.
Will that be accepted? We don’t think so. We have no reason to believe so.
Let’s try to understand why.
Rebel Moon: Part 2 is a tentpole title. The movie is made on a high budget and ideally, it should have followed the standard way. Now, what is the standard way?
It dictates Netflix to organise a screening of the movie and invite members of the media prior to the release on Netflix. Let us tell you it happened with Part 1 of Rebel Moon.
With Part 1, they had a fantastic campaign. They promoted it through mailing and whatnot.
Nothing of this happened. Netflix knew that the film was trash and they deliberately didn’t allow screening for the media as they would expose the trash of the film much before the film release. Now, what happened was not something favourable to Netflix either. The movie opened at a terrible 13% on Rotten Tomatoes and the word of mouth is something Netflix would wanna turn deaf ears to.
They tried to shroud this abomination of Rebel Moon Part 2 by avoiding private screening. But, such things rarely work out. Let’s wait for the views.
