RRR is a magnum opus that will be remembered for decades to come. It is a pure masterpiece in every sense whose cinematic experience is unmatched. Perhaps that is the reason it became so insanely successful in not only theatres but also OTT. For the past 12 weeks, RRR is in the “Top 10 Most watched non-English films” on Netflix, and that too on a global level.
It is the first Indian film to become so successful on Netflix and it is quite justifiable.
Regardless, Alia Bhatt is also a huge star whose popularity and performance outsmart most celebrities from Bollywood. Last week her highly buzzy film “Darlings” was released on Netflix and became insanely successful.
The movie was released on a Friday at 12:30 PM and the data which Netflix publishes is up to Sunday.
This is the same situation with RRR and Darlings so it is quite certain that both the films got the same streaming time in their first week.
If we compare the viewing stats of RRR with that of Darlings then the latter has outperformed the former by a huge margin.
The first chart is from the first week of RRR. The movie is occupying the 6th position with 7,180,000 hours of views.
Now talking about Darlings, globally it is in 4th position with 10,210,000 hours of views.
Thus it is quite obvious that Darlings streamed for an astounding 3,030,000 hours more than RRR in their respective first weeks.
