Netflix has just got hold of a treasure. And what is that?
Nothing less than the Oscar winning masterpiece by Hayao Miyazaki.
His newest movie, “The Boy and the Heron,” is a magical story that has won hearts around the globe. It’s about a boy named Mahito Maki who goes on a fantastical adventure after his mom dies. He meets a talking heron and discovers a mysterious tower, leading to lots of exciting events.
The film won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film very recently. Although the Oscars shouldn’t be our judgment standard, it adds to the charm of a film nonetheless. Soon, it will be available on Netflix in many countries, except the U.S. and Japan. It will also be in theatres again in those places. As for India, there is nothing to worry about as it will eventually land on Netflix.
Even though “The Boy and the Heron” has lots of fantasy, it’s also about important things like friendship and bravery. The hardcore anime fans would love the movie even more because it is a hand-drawn 2D anime in the world of Artificial Intelligence. Naturally, the quality is unmatchable.
Sadly, there is no release date or window as of now but we are assuming that The Boy and the Heron would land somewhere around the fall or Holiday season to grab maximum possible views.
