HBO Max is set to rule our hearts with its slate for 2021 and things just got a bit more intense as the audiences across the globe cannot contain their excitement. Reminiscence which stars Hugh Jackman in the lead role has come up with a release date and the cast along with its unique storyline has piqued a lot of interest in cinephiles everywhere.
Reminiscence is the story of Nick Bannister who is a detective of the mind and helps people unearth lost memories of their past by navigating through this dark world to help his clients. All of this makes for a really interesting watch. Apart from Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson, Thandie Newton, Daniel Wu, Cliff Curtis, Nico Parker, Angela Sarafyan, Natalia Martinez, Marina de Tavira, and Mojean Aria make up the cast of this Sci-Fi thriller.
What seems like a really simple case for this investigator of the darkest alleys of the mind escalates beyond control as he unravels a conspiracy that can put his life at risk. A simple thing can turn into an obsession and the lines between reality and fiction can get blurred somewhere in the middle. (Hmm where have we heard that kind of premise before?)
Reminiscence is written and directed by Lisa joy who marks her feature directorial debut with this film. She is also credited for directing a few episodes of HBO’s dystopian fiction series Westworld.
Warner Bros has also pivoted towards the streaming alternative with HBO Max in the wake of the pandemic and several of its high-profile titles have been released directly on its streaming platform or with a very little gap between the theatrical release and OTT release.
Reminiscence will be releasing in the USA on 3rd September 2021 and in international markets on 25 August 2021. It will release on the same day in theatres and on HBO Max in the United States of America.
