In terms of big-money titles, Hulu is making waves. They already boast strong contenders like Goosebumps, Living for the Dead, and classics like Only Murders In The Building. Now, they’re adding another gem to their crown, as Hulu appears to be working on something truly special.
Hulu is currently in the process of bringing Lucy Foley’s popular novel, “The Guest List,” to life as a television series. To make it even more exciting, Liz Tigelaar, known for her work on titles such as “Little Fires Everywhere” and “Tiny Beautiful Things,” will be the show’s creator.
For those not familiar with the basic plot, here it is:
“The Guest List” is set on a remote island off the coast of Ireland. The story revolves around a glamorous wedding that takes a sinister turn when a murder occurs. The narrative unfolds through the perspectives of various characters, each harboring their own secrets and motives as they grapple with the aftermath of the murder and the haunting events that lead up to it.
The novel weaves a complex web of relationships, deceit, and suspense, keeping readers on edge as they try to uncover the truth behind the crime. Amidst all of this, you’ll be left with a multitude of questions and a lingering dilemma: who deserved to live, and who deserves to die?
The show is expected to consist of 8-10 episodes, with Liz Tigelaar as the creator and Stacey Silverman and Best Day Ever Productions serving as producers.
ABC Signature Studios is in the process of creating this series, and similar to “Tiny Beautiful Things,” it’s anticipated that the show will likely be available internationally as a Star Original on Disney+. However, there hasn’t been an official confirmation of this yet.
As of now, not many details about the show have been released, but stay tuned to Binged for further updates.
