Hulu subscribers have a lot to look forward to as the streaming platform has officially renewed “Only Murders in the Building” for its fourth season. This exciting news coincides with the release of the Season 3 finale, leaving fans eager for more adventures with the beloved trio of amateur sleuths.
The show, created by comedy legends Steve Martin and John Hoffman, has been a resounding success for Hulu, as the series emerged as the most-watched premiere day of any Hulu scripted original in 2023.
“Only Murders in the Building” follows the quirky and endearing trio of Charles Haden-Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), who are neighbours residing in the illustrious Arconia apartment complex in New York City. What brings them together initially is their shared interest in recording a true crime podcast, centered around the mysterious murder of fellow resident Tim Kono.
As the series progresses, the trio embarks on a series of zany investigations, each season tackling a new murder mystery within the Arconia. Season 2 saw them delving into the murder of Bunny Folger, the president of the apartment’s board, while Season 3’s focus was on solving the murder of Ben Glenroy, a famous actor who met his demise on the opening night of Oliver’s play. The star-studded cast also features the legendary Meryl Streep as their castmate Loretta Durkin.
With its renewal for a fourth season, “Only Murders in the Building” continues to be a must-watch series that blends humor, mystery, and a dash of celebrity glamour. Let’s hope that Season 4 comes out to be equally great, if not better.
