Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon took to social media today to give fans an update about their upcoming film, ‘Hum Do Humare Do‘. The two actors released the first look of the film, with a caption, “Ab Humara Hero Kya Karega’. Furthermore, it is also being said that the makers of ‘Hum Do Humare Do’ are considering a direct-to-OTT release and were in talks with several platforms, post which Disney+Hotstar has been finalized. Poor collections of the recent theatrical releases may be responsible for the shift in mindset and although nothing is confirmed as yet, an announcement is expected shortly.
Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon are back sharing screen space together after their last successful outing, ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, this time for another rom-com drama, ‘Hum Do Humare Do’. The plot revolves around a young couple who decide to adopt two parents to fill the void in their lives, but in turn their lives get filled with havoc. Also starring Paresh Rawal, Ratna Pathak Shah and Aparshakti Khurrana, the film is helmed by Abhishek Jain and jointly produced by Mahaveer Jain and Dinesh Vijan under his banner, Maddock Films. If things go as planned, the film is all set for a Diwali digital release on Disney+Hotstar.
Kriti Sanon, currently basking in the success of ‘Mimi’, also has ‘Bachchan Pandey’ with Akshay Kumar, ‘Bhediya’ with Varun Dhawan and ‘Adipurush’ with Prabhas in her kitty, apart from ‘Hum Do Humare Do’. As for Rajkummar Rao, last seen in horror flick ‘Roohi’ alongside Jahnvi Kapoor, he also has ‘Badhaai Ho’ with Bhumi Pednekar, ‘Monica O My Darling’ with Radhika Apte and Huma Qureshi, ‘Hit’, director Hansal Mehta’s next and another Netflix web series with Raj & DK in the pipeline.
