Sony Entertainment is going all aggressive with all those Marvel characters they have the rights to. After Bad Bunny, Madame Web and so many more, the next to follow is a musical film on Hypno Hustler.
If you are unaware then the character is actually a villain in the Spider-Man universe. Antoine Delsoin or the Hypno Hustler is the singer in a band that performs at various locations. He has hypnotizing techniques that he would use to first snatch senses and then rob the people. Spider-Man discovers that he would hypnotize people with his music and that his headphones would protect him against getting hypnotized himself.
Now that would bring the actual conflict that would carry the plot forward, but, in a musical way.
But there is a problem. Hypno Hustler is often counted as one of the worst Spider-Man villains let alone the top one. So the film will focus mostly on the musical aspects. That’s why it would be a pure musical produced by Donald Glover. Also, he would be playing the lead role in the film.
As of now, there isn’t any specific release date or even “name” for the film but we will keep you posted if there is any update about the same.
