“I Am Dying To Do Horror”, Says Anurag Kashyap

Director Anurag Kashyap needs no introduction to movie lovers. His par excellent work has made his name renowned across the country and among cine aficionados. After directing Sacred Games 2 earlier in the year, he is coming next with Ghost Stories.

As many are aware, Ghost Stories is an anthology series helmed by four different directors. While Anurag Kashyap is one among them, the others are Dibakar Benerjee, Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar.

Speaking about the idea and what was the motive behind his part in Ghost Stories to Binged.Com, Anurag Kashyap said,

“ I am dying to do a horror genre movie for the last four and five years. But, the kind I am interested in is hard to explain to the producers. It is far away from the conventional expectations we have from our horror films. Now that, I have done Ghost Stories, I can show them (the producers), what my kind of horror would look like”.

Shobita Dhulipalla features as the main lead in Anurag Kashyap’s segment. She plays a pregnant woman. It will be a moody, and atmospheric horror attempt that would have a psychological effect assures the director. Ghost Stories streams on Netflix from January 1st.
