I Know What You Did Last Summer is one of the most popular slasher films till made. The movie was made in three parts just like the original novel series in 1973.
The movie takes inspiration from plenty of other slasher films and combines their good elements.
Although it was not a great movie according to critics, it hardly bothered the audience. The movie received tremendous support from the audience making it one of the biggest hits in 1997.
The movie starts on July 4th 1996 when a bunch of friends accidentally hit a pedestrian. Worried about their safety, they dumped the body and took a decision to never discuss the event.
But a year later, Julie receives a letter that says “I Know What You Did Last Summer”.
But after that event, someone starts mercilessly killing all of the friends. The movie can get brutal at times and even haunting.
The killings continue for a year keeping the last surviving one terrorised.
This was the first film in the trilogy and perhaps the most famous one.
Thankfully, you can stream the movie now on Netflix. The movie was launched silently and very recently as well.
