The production of the highly-anticipated espionage thriller, IB 71, has commenced. Leading actor, Vidyut Jammwal, shared this piece of news via Twitter. He is also serving as one of the movie’s producers. The makers roped in the National award-winning helmer, Sankalp Reddy, to direct the upcoming project in the last year’s summertime. However, its production stalled as a result of the COVID pandemic.
The plot of IB 71 revolves around the prominent India-Pakistan war of 1971. We will witness Jammwal donning the role of a highly-trained spy, working secretly for the Indian government. However, the makers are yet to find a leading lady for the upcoming Bollywood action masala.
Jammwal’s last theatrical release was Commando 3 back in 2019. Then, the closing of movie theatres forced the makers to dispatch their products on OTT platforms. Several of the actor’s releases like Khuda Haafiz, The Power, Yaara, and Sanak also went straight for streaming release. Apart from IB 71, the action star is busy filming the sequel of Khuda Haafiz these days.
