Witnessing the directorial debuts of up-and-coming filmmakers almost always seems like a breath of fresh air. Even when it comes as a part of an overpopulated genre like romance.
Directed by debutant Chandrajith Belliappa, ‘Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali’ is the latest Kannada-language theatrical presentation from actor-filmmaker Rakshit Shetty’s Paramvah Studios. The film, which seems to have a romantic premise, is all set for a theatrical release on September 5 in select theatres across the country.
With the recently released trailer, the feature seems to prepare to take all viewers on a soulful journey that follows the bittersweet, fairytale-esque romance between the lead actor Vihan Gowda’s Siddharth and Ankita Amar’s Anahita.
The teaser is also accompanied by mellow and at times upbeat background music, that adds to the love blooming between a typically rugged university cricket team captain and his quiet, artistic love interest. Unsurprisingly, the rough-and-tough team captain is rendered speechless to the point of nervous ramblings in her presence.
What ensues is what always happens in a love story: the characters are driven apart due to misunderstandings and unmatched longings, only to eventually find each other again in the aftermath of tears, heartbreak, and pain.
