There is no doubt about the fact that Netflix India knows how to mess up things. Take the case of the SS Rajamouli documentary or a film like Bhakshak. They could be so great as impactful films but they terribly failed to leave any impact on the audiences.
However, they also occasionally make things that they must be very proud of. Take, for instance, the case of Scoop or Kaala Paani. They are indeed a good option to watch despite having some serious subjects or fiction to deal with.
Last year, Netflix India brought us “The Railway Men”, which is a sort of watchable thing but fails to leave a strong impact as is expected from them.
But, this is not the case with IC-814. The series met with its share of controversies but it actually handles the subject very well. The director successfully handles the anxiety situation and it translates well on the screen.
IC 814 is directed by Anubhav Sinha who has a history of dealing with sensitive subjects. Naturally, this series also benefits from his expertise as a director.
To sum up, IC-814 seems like a goal for Netflix India. The platform is earning praise not only from the audiences but also the critics for its sensitive portrayal.
