Indian Predator: The Butcher of Delhi will soon hit the Netflix streaming service. The trailer of the crime documentary series is out now. It has received a spectacular response from the viewers. Netflix India originals might have failed at meeting people’s expectations. But this platform has bestowed some compelling documentaries including Burari Deaths. Although, the makers are yet to confirm the identity of the person upon which the upcoming documentary is based. But here’s what we know about the real Indian Predator!
The trailer shows a serial killer leaving body parts of his victims at various places in Delhi including the gate of Tihar Jail. Along with the corpses, he used to leave notes for the cops to mock them. He even challenged them to find him. All the interviews in the trailer show that the killer had a grudge against the cops.
Various reports have claimed that the Indian Predator is based upon the crimes of Chandrakant Jha. Born in the small village of Ghosal, Bihar, he is one of the most infamous psychopaths ever found in the history of the nation’s capital. From 1998 to 2007, he killed seven victims in Delhi. He even got arrested but was released due to the lack of evidence. Most of his killings happened over petty matters. But he relished teasing and challenging the police. He even left the decapitated bodies of his victims at the gate of Tihar Jail.
In February 2013, Jha received two death sentences and life imprisonment until death. However, his penalty changed to life imprisonment without remission three years later. Apart from his notorious criminal activities, he worked as a hawker in the markets of Delhi.
