Leanardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro will be now be joined by four indigenous actors in Martin Scorsese-directed ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’, whose rights have been acquired by Apple TV+. The stars joining the film are Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins and Jillian Dion.
Apple’s ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon‘ is based on David Grann’s bestseller books of the same name and also stars Lily Gladstone (‘Certain Women’, ‘First Cow’) and Jesse Plemons (‘The Irishman’, ‘Breaking Bad’) in prominent roles.
The story of the film is set in the 1920s Oklahoma where the serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation and a string of other brutal crimes later became famous as the Reign of Terror.
Among the newly added members of the cast, Tantoo Cardinal (‘Dances With Wolves’, ‘Godless’) will play the role of Lizzie Q, the mother of Mollie Burkhart (Lily Gladstone). While Cara Jade Myers (‘This Is Us’, ‘Proximity’), JaNae Collins (‘Longmire’, ‘Fukry’) and Jillian Dion (‘Into The West’) play Mollie’s sisters, Anna, Reta and Minnie.
‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’ screenplay has been written by Eric Roth and is directed and produced by Martin Scorsese alongside Imperative Entertainment’s Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas and DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions.
The release date of the Apple original film ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’ is yet to be announced.
