The upcoming Malayalam sports drama, ‘Aaha’, is expected to release in theatres by the end of this month. The film lead, Indrajith Sukumaran, has dropped a film poster on his official Twitter profile – and it has provided the date and time of the feature’s upcoming trailer. Months ago, it was announced that this sports drama about tug-of-war will release in the first week of June. However, weeks later, the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic hit the South-Indian state of Kerala and this caused the movie’s release date to be postponed indefinitely. Almost a month back, after the theatre reopening was announced by the State Government – the filmmakers behind ‘Aaha’ announced that the movie will release in theatres in the last week of November.
We have already seen a film teaser, which was released over a year ago, so we have a small idea about the film. This sports drama is inspired by a famous tug-of-war team, ‘Aaha Neeloor’ from Pala and the feature will centre around the tug of war team’s journey that spans two timelines. It is expected to be set during the 80s and 90s era – a time when tug-of-war was hugely popular within the state and teams used to travel across districts for festival competitions.
‘Aaha’ will premiere in theatres on November 26th 2021. The trailer for this upcoming feature will release on social media on November 8th 2021 at 5 pm. So, be ready.
