Malayalam film ‘#Home’ starring veteran actor Indrans in the lead is headed for a direct-to-digital release on Amazon Prime Video. Produced by Vijay Babu under his Friday Film House banner, ‘#Home’ will premiere on the platform on 19th August, 2021.
Having worked in the Malayalam film industry for four decades now, ‘#Home’ marks Indrans’ 341st film. Announcing the film as an Amazon original movie, Prime Video released a poster of the film with its release date and wrote, “you don’t wanna miss the chance to be a part of the journey of this home 🏠🪴

The poster for ‘#Home’ features a happy family of five spanning over three generations. The family drama film written and directed by Rojin Thomas stars Indrans, Sreenath Bhasi, Manju Pillai, Naslen, Vijay Babu, Johny Antony, Kainagiri Thankaraj, Maniyan Pilla Raju, Srikanth Murali, Kiran Aravindakshan, Deepa Thomas (introducing), KPAC Lalitha, Aju Varghese, Anoop Menon, Priyanka Nair and Minon.
Interesting thing that happened though when Amazon Prime Video dropped the poster is that many people mentioned in the comments how they thought that it featured someone resembling PM Narendra Modi when observed in the first glance. The actor that netizens are talking about here is Kainagiri Thanakraj who has worked in multiple films and his notable works include Lucifer, Ishq and more.
Friday Film House had released a heartwarming teaser for the film four months ago in March on the occasion of Indrans’ birthday. The teaser shows him as a humble man, living a simple life unaware of the latest technology and the new gen lingo that has taken over the rest of the world including his own children.
‘#Home’ is a thought provoking comedy film that is meant to please people with its simplistic and relatable storyline. Rahul Subrahmaniam has composed the music and background score for the film.
Malayalam film ‘#Home’ will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 19th August, 2021.
