This is one of the times when films are made to market products.
When one thinks about the popular action director, Rohit Shetty, famous for his stunts in Bollywood films such as Singham and Golmaal, it brings to mind images of cars flying through the air and intense, vehicle-driven action scenes. So, who better than him to market Skoda’s latest SUV, the Kylaq?
For the first time ever, the world premiere for product marketing will be aired on an OTT platform – Jio Cinema. The film, directed by Rohit Shetty, will go live on November 6, 2024, at 12:30 pm.
This could be considered a brilliant marketing experiment, as the director is already generating buzz with his latest release, Singham Again. By choosing an OTT platform for distribution, the film’s reach is likely to expand significantly, compared to a theatrical release.
Now this brings us to the question: Will the film succeed in creating lasting buzz for the product, or will the excitement fade within weeks?
