The official trailer for the next film of the Insidious series is out now. The Insidious films are regarded as some of the most scary mainstream horror movies ever made. The film is titled ‘Insidious: The Red Door’ and is the fifth installment of the franchise. It serves as a direct sequel to Insidious that came out in 2010 and Insidious 2, that came out in 2013.
Insidious: The Red Door is direcTed by Patrick Wilson and this is his directorial debut. The screenplay is written by Scott Teems and the story is from the creator of the series Leigh Whannell.
The film is set ten years after the previous two films and here Josh Lambert drops his son to a university in a very beautiful countryside setting. But he is constantly disturbed and interrupted by the spirits from his past and his university days become just unbearable.
The trailer is impressive and tells what the story is all about. It shows Dalton going to art-college, something he has always opted for and his unconscious drawing giving off clues from the past. Meanwhile, his father too is getting haunted by spirits which makes him know that there are many secrets in their family.
Most actors will be reprising their roles from the previous two films. Patrick Wilson is back and he is on board as the director too. Ty Simpkins will be back as Dalton Lambert and Patrick Wilson as Josh Lambert too. Rose Byrne, Andrew Astor, Lin Shaye will reprise their respective roles too. Hiam Abbass, Sinclair Daniel, Peter Dager, and Jarquez McClendon too will be there in the film.
The film will be releasing in theaters on the 7th of July this year.
