One of the showrunners for Prime Video’s Invincible, Simon Racioppa, has given an exciting update about Season 3. In his recent interview with The Direct, Racioppa teased that fans would not have to wait long for the arrival of the third season. Though, he did not reveal the exact release date.
This is what he said about Season 3’s release schedule in his interview with The Direct: “We are deep in Season 3 at this point. So I can’t tell you exactly when, but I can tell you it will not be the same wait between [seasons] 1 and 2… We’re well in progress on Season 3, and it’s coming along great.”
Given Racioppa’s recent statement, it seems like fans won’t have to wait long for Season 3. The gap between the first and second seasons was well over two years. But we can expect the third season to arrive sooner on Prime Video. Season 2’s finale aired on March 28. So, with everything considered, the next season should come out in late 2025 or early 2026.
In addition, the showrunner disclosed that the next season would deal with the ramifications of Season 2, which would significantly change the show’s key characters in unimaginable ways. Moreover, Racioppa promised to deliver new and dangerous challenges to the characters in Season 3.
Created by Robert Kirkman and Simon Racioppa, Invincible stars Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, J. K. Simmons, Gillian Jacobs, Walton Goggins, and more. Stream all episodes on Prime Video. Stay tuned for more updates.
