Talking about Marvel’s new direction in terms of series content, “Moon Knight” provides a solid foundation. Firstly, the incorporation of mythology made the series innovative; Marvel ventured into this territory for the first time. Secondly, after the Marvel and Netflix era, this was Marvel’s first attempt to introduce brutality into their series.
The series received ample love and was near perfect from all aspects. Fans couldn’t let go of the feeling that the series ended and demanded a second season. Although it’s almost confirmed that the series isn’t returning for a second installment, there are still rumors circulating about the series. In a recent interview, costume designer Meghan Kasperlik spilled the beans about the future of “Moon Knight.”
When asked about the potential for a second season, Kasperlik responded, “No, people have been asking me and maybe that’s why, because of ‘The Complete First Season’ of the Blu-Ray, but no, I’ve heard nothing. I’ve heard nothing about it.”
Later, during further questioning, he stated, “I think it all depends on what the story would be. Because so many times when shows say that they’re only doing one season or whatnot, then they come back, something about the story changes so much or a new character is incorporated that is not maybe necessarily thought of. Listen, if they do a season 2, I am on board. I loved it so much, but I haven’t gotten any phone calls.”
Should Marvel push for a second season?
Considering how well the first season worked out, fans would strongly support a second season. If Marvel and Disney can deliver a second season, it wouldn’t be the worst choice. However, Marvel concluded the previous season on a very perfect note, so tampering with that would definitely be a big gamble.
