Prime Video has finally set the digital premiere date for its upcoming original movie ‘Be Happy’ starring Abhishek Bachchan and Inayat Verma in the lead. The heartwarming father-daughter drama directed by Remo D’Souza will start streaming on Prime Video this Holi holiday weekend from 14th March, 2025.
‘Be Happy’ unfolds the journey of a single father and his talented daughter who aspires to perform on the country’s biggest dance reality show. The film highlights the extraordinary lengths this father will go to fulfill his daughter’s dreams and find true happiness.
Directed by Remo D’Souza (‘ABCD’, ‘A Flying Jatt’, ‘Race 3’) who has co-written the film with Tushar Hiranandani, Kanishka Singh Deo and Chirag Garg, ‘Be Happy’ also stars Nora Fatehi, Nasser, Johnny Lever and Harleen Sethi in prominent roles.
Inayat and Abhishek were last seen together in Netflix’s ‘Ludo’ by Anurag Basu and shared an amazing onscreen chemistry. Now that they are reuniting for Prime Video’s ‘Be Happy’ it will be interesting to see what they bring for the audience this time.
But will their chemistry be enough to make ‘Be Happy’ a hit for Prime Video? The storyline doesn’t feel to have anything extraordinary that would make it stand out. Infact it is rather routine until they have a big twist waiting which seems quite unlikely.
Relying solely on cast’s performance ain’t going to play out well. The story has to be solid to stand its ground and only then can other factors help strengthen it further. Hopefully we get to see more than just a cliched musical dance drama.
