The teaser for the upcoming Prithviraj-Sooraj starrer ‘Jana Gana Mana‘ dropped on multiple social media platforms, months ago. The 2-minute teaser was quite brilliant and it left us wanting more, but there has been no word from the cast and crew for months. Then again, this long silence could mean that a trailer is coming, or at least a release date – be it for a theatrical release or an OTT one. But the teaser seems to be hiding something in plain sight – similar to the famous 1957 film, ‘12 Angry Men‘.
The brilliant age-defying courtroom drama (’12 Angry Men’) was known for many things. And one of those things was the film’s ability to keep the audience members invested in the film, despite more than 90 percent of the movie took place in one movie set. And we except that is the case for this upcoming Malayalam drama, ‘Jana Gana Mana’.
Of course, we do not have concrete proof of such a fact. But the amount of significance given to the components of the interrogation room (camera, window, the shackles, recording unit, etc.) by the teaser of the film, have been taken as clues on our part, as to the nature of this film. The teaser showed us an edited version of the interrogation, but we were only shown the room throughout the promo, meaning that there is more to this theory than just intuition. We expect the entire interrogation to take up a major chunk of the movie, at least 85 percent of the film’s runtime (However, we could wrong).
Check out the teaser for ‘Jana Gana Mana’ below, to see if our film prediction could be true.
