Is Zack Snyder Done With Comic Book Films Adaptations?

Is Zack Snyder Done With Comic Book Films Adaptations?

Zack Snyder’s Justice League or the Snyder Cut, as it being called by fans, is finally out. It’s been a day now, since the movie was released and fans are finally happy and satisfied. A lot of hard work and patience have gone into making this film a reality and the response from the fans and viewers prove that this in fact was worth everything. Zack Snyder, the man behind this brand new Justice League movie is the one everyone is thanking and definitely should, for it is because of him fans get to witness the magic and power once again, all over again.

It must have been a taxing moment for him to see this finally come out. After how the first Justice League was received by the fans and how it wasn’t able to gain what it should have, there was a certain pressure on the Snyder Cut. But, with the reviews it seems like all has paid off really well.

Normally, when a director’s cut for a movie is released, it comes with some added footage, or few polished edits but this wasn’t the case with Snyder Cut. With this, Zack Snyder was able to rightfully recreate everything once again. It was his shot at redemption. Now, after the movie is out it looks like Snyder wants to take a break from turning comics into movies for some time at the least.

Yes, that’s true. In a recent interview with Deadline, Zack Snyder has mentioned that at the moment he doesn’t have any “burning desire” to turn any comic book into a movie. He still wants to recreate Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns and few others but it seems like he is content with whatever work he has right now. Also besides that Snyder and Warner Bros. have no further plan for any other movies.

Speaking of the recent works, his upcoming Netflix release “Army of The Dead” has been quite buzzy and has people’s undivided attention, it will be releasing on the 21st May, 2021 . Besides that he has two animated series coming up for the streaming service and has been working on writing another movie for Netflix. Also, it seems like there is a prequel that’s coming up for Army of the Dead and it will be in the German language. Both the streaming giant and Snyder have plans to carry forward the “Army of the Dead” franchise.

So even if we might not see any superhero or comic book adaptations into movies from Zack Snyder for some time, we definitely are in for a treat with his other pieces of work. Also, in our earlier article we have mentioned how Warner Bros. wasn’t paying much attention to his other works but Netflix was eager to work with him on that very project. Given the enthusiasm from Netflix, it is obvious that he might settle with Netflix for a while now.
