The shooting and dubbing for ‘Binodini: Ekti Natir Upakhyan’ is complete now. The teaser will be released with the screening of Dev’s ‘Bagha Jatin‘. The film stars Rukmini Moitra in the lead role. ‘Binodini’ will be the biopic of Nati Binodini, the first theater actress in India. Apart from Rukmini there will be a stellar cast of actors like Rahul Bose, Kaushik Ganguly, Mir, Chandreyee Ghosh, Gautam Halder, Om Sahani and more. Rahul Bose’s return to Bengali films is quite anticipated by fans. The release date of the film is not revealed now. The film is directed by filmmaker Ram Kamal Mukherjee.
He will now be working on tbe Hindi adaptation of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay‘s classic ‘Anandamath’. The film will be titled ‘1770 – Ek Sangram’. Baahubali writer and S.S Rajamouli’s father K.V Vijayendra Prasad has been working on the screenplay for quite some time. Pre-productions for Anandamath will start soon after the release of Binodini.
There is one more movie that will tell the story of Nati Binodini. And that will be Srijit Mukherjee’s ‘Lawho Gouranger Naam Re’. Actress Priyanka Sarkar will be playing Binodini and actor and minister Bratya Basu will be playing the role of eminent theater personality and writer Girish Chandra Ghosh.
Anandamath indeed has the chances of being the next big thing in Indian cinema and it will have a massive budget and star cast. With such a trusted writer like Vijayendra Prasad on board, there is no doubt that the movie will be pretty well adapted.
