The shooting is finally wrapped up for another MCU venture. Yes, the upcoming MCU mini-series Hawkeye has completed the shooting schedules and Hawkeye aka Jeremy Renner himself, took to his Instagram handle to share the news with the fans.
Since July 2019 just after the success of Avengers: Endgame, the fans all over the world was excited with the announcement of Hawkeye’s own series along with Loki, Falcon and the Winter Soldier & WandaVision as he was one of the founding member of the Avengers in the MCU since the his first appearance in Thor on 2011.
As the pandemic has forced a lot of projects to get postponed or cancelled, fans were on the edge for the last few months whether Hawkeye could be completed in the allocated time or not. But now as Renner himself confirms the same, the MCU fans would be relieved.
It is still not clear whether Hawkeye series will be a one-off season or if the makers have plans for bringing the character further in future movies or series. As per the sources, the series will continue from where Hawkeye’s character left off from Avengers: Endgame. The series will further explore the character’s time as the master assassin ‘Ronin’, as first shown in Avengers: Endgame.
Apart from Jeremy Renner reprising the role of the S.H.I.E.L.D Marksman Clint Barton aka Hawkeye, Hailee Steinfeld will portray Kate Bishop whom he is training to take over the mantle of Hawkeye, Vera Farmiga as Kate’s mother, Florence Pugh as Natasha Romanoff’s sister, Fra Fee and Tony Dalton and Alaqua Cox as Super-heroine Echo. The show is reportedly created by Jonathan Igla.
The release date of Hawkeye is still not confirmed but Marvel Studios is surely heading for a late 2021 release for this one on streaming platform Disney+. Do check out the Instagram post by Jeremy Renner confirming the wrap of Hawkeye and thanking the entire cast and the crew:
