Jagame Thandhiram is what the magic of cinema is all about! It is easily the most awaited film of recent times for Dhanush fans all across the world. And so, when Netflix dropped the trailer for the film this morning, everyone, including us, is crazy with anticipation. All we want is the real deal – the film Jagame Thandhiram itself!
The Jagame Thandhiram trailer shows off Dhanush like we’ve never seen him before – suave, sassy and street-smart. Oozing a chutzpah that is as adorable as it is slinky, Dhanush, in Jagame Thandhiram, is a gangster you wouldn’t want to mess with. The trailer also shows the first glimpses of Scottish actor James Cosmo as the mastermind of the criminal operations that Dhanush’s Suruli Rajan unwittingly becomes a part of. For those not in the know, James Cosmo played Jeor Mormont in the epic show, Game Of Thrones, besides boasting a vast filmography.
The transformation of Suruli from a small time gangster in Tamil Nadu to being the kingpin of crime in London is something fans of Dhanush will look forward to. The 2-min long trailer has whet our appetite for the high-octane histrionics in store when the film releases on 18th June.
Another thing that stands out in the trailer is Santhosh Narayanan’s background music – it is foot-thumping and electrifying. There’s fun and entertainment assured for Dhanush fans when Jagame Thandhiram hits Netflix.
Jagame Thandhiram is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by S. Sashikanth and Ramachandra of YNOT Studios, along with Reliance Entertainment. The film stars Dhanush, Aishwarya Lekshmi and James Cosmo, while Joju George and Kalaiyarasan portray supporting roles.
Jagame Thandhiram premieres on Netflix on 18th June. Have a look at the trailer here –
