Two comic book universes and two great fandoms. Fans of DC and Marvel have been fighting against each other for decades. While a conclusion is never gonna be acceptable, almost all fans would love to see a crossover between the two universes.
Well, the head of DC Studios, James Gunn has hinted at that. You must be aware that he has been associated with Marvel for a long time as he is the director of The Guardians Of The Galaxy film series.
When asked about a potential crossover between Marvel and DC, he stated
“Who knows? Just don’t expect anything on that front in the immediate future. That’s many years away, though. I think we have to establish what we’re doing [at DC] first. I would be lying to say that we haven’t discussed it. But all discussions have been very, very light and fun. I’m certain that’s more likely now that I’m in charge [at DC].”
James Gunn stated this in an interview with Empire. He says that he would love to see Guardians Of The Galaxy and their characters grow further. His collaboration with Marvel ends after the third installment of the film franchise. Needless to say, his sole focus will be on the DC Studios slate but the most interesting thing James Gunn can do is a crossover.
