A story which we the people of 2024 can very much relate to, Eklo, a story which is not that far fetched, an epidemic which consumed the whole world.
Jamie Bacon and Pradeep Khadka will star in sci-fi flick Eklo from British Nepalese director Pradeep Shahi. Creators said Eklo will be the first science fiction flick to come out of Nepal. Shahi is currently in Cannes with his latest film, The Last Ritual.
Eklo is based on an epidemic which took over a futuristic version of earth, and for this dangerous virus, people are flying away to different planets.
Here we can find a major correlation with our good old Covid 19.
60 years later British Space Astronaut Zach is on a reconnaissance mission and crash-lands in the Himalayan region of Nepal with his partner. They explore their surroundings and uncover a hidden city of caves nestled among the mountains, where they encounter a mysterious figure (Khadka), who is the mythical guardian of the Himalayan region.
Bacon is now a co producer of this movie he is well known for his work in White Lines, Father Brown, and will appear in the network’s show Mr Loverman, which debuts at Tribeca next month.
Khadka became a lovable character after his movie Prem Geet.
This movie will be the first Nepali Sci Fi, and after analysing the storyline it’s fair to say that the story will be a blast.
