‘Good Luck Jerry’ is the official remake of the 2018 Tamil film ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’, starring South star, Nayanthara. Janhvi Kapoor is reprising Nayanthara’s role in ‘Good Luck Jerry’. The Tamil film was the directorial debut of stellar director, Nelson. The Hindi version is directed by Sidharth Sengupta, who’s helmed popular shows Balika Vadhu, Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein (Netflix), Apharan (ALT Balaji), among others.
‘Good Luck Jerry’ stars Janhvi Kapoor as a badass girl, who gets involved with unscrupulous elements to earn quick money. Things take a quirky turn when her family is also dragged into the messy affair. Good Luck Jerry takes recourse to hefty doses of black humour to tell its story, hopefully rendering an amply entertaining film.
Good Luck Jerry features actors Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh alongside Janhvi Kapoor. The film is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under his Lyca Productions, also the producer of the Tamil original, Kolamaavu Kokila. Aanand L. Rai is the co-producer of Good Luck Jerry, under his banner, Colour Yellow Productions.
Good Luck Jerry premieres on Disney Plus Hotstar on July 29. Stay tuned to Binged.com for the trailer and other updates on the upcoming film.
