Hey, morbheads! The time has come for you all to celebrate!
It seems like the rumours are true! According to One Take News, the on-screen Morbius, Jared Leto, has joined the cast of Disney’s Haunted Mansion. We will see him donning the character of Alistair Crump aka Hatbox Ghost.
The entertainment website has also revealed details about Hatbox Ghost’s design in the upcoming Disney film. Leto’s character design in the film looks similar to the one on the Haunted Mansion ride. Though, we may not see him playing the live-action version of the character. Instead, Hatbox Ghost may appear in CG form. Furthermore, his voice for the character will be deep with plenty of high-pitched chuckles.
Well-known for his method acting and eccentric performances, Leto rose to global prominence with Steve James’ Prefontaine (1997). Plus, he has given standout performances in American Psycho (2000), Requiem for a Dream (2000), Panic Room (2002), Lord of War (2005), Mr Nobody (2009), and Dallas Buyers Club (2013). The last one helped him bag the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. And we all know what happened to Morbius. The film was indeed a “true masterpiece”.
