A few hours ago, Jason Momoa just teased a secret DC film being in development at Warner Bros. While he didn’t give out any details, the sheer excitement on his face was enough to get fans hyped for the project. In a matter of minutes, Twitter is on fire, with fans guessing what project the ‘Aquaman’ actor was talking about. What has hyped the chatter, even more, is the reports of Warner Bros and DC executives meeting with Hollywood living legends Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan. If the two pieces of news are connected, fans are in for a treat!
Jason Momoa can be seen saying that he is “very excited” by the news that James Gunn and Peter Safran are taking over the DC Universe as Warner Bros. His exact words are: “I think that with Peter Safran and Mr. Gunn at the helm now at DC, I’m very excited about that,” Momoa told ET while promoting his new Netflix original film “Slumberland.” “There are a lot of cool things that will be coming up. One of my dreams come true and will be happening under their watch. So, stay tuned!”

While the guessing game is still on, a top contender is another Justice league like team-up movie. With Henry Cavill officially having returned as Superman in ‘Black Adam’ and rumors of Ben Affleck’s Batman being seen on sets of Aquaman 2, the chances for the same are genuinely big. Fans also speculate he may also be teasing the return of Zack Snyder but that may be stretching things out too far. Another film that has come up in the chatter is a Lobo movie. DC’s new co-CEO Janes Gunn shared a picture of Lobo on social media within a few hours, which further flamed the chatter. For those unversed, Lobo is an alien bounty hunter in the DC universe. Fans have long been saying rightfully that Jason Momoa would make a great Lobo. But as things are right now, Momoa being cast as another prominent DC character is doubtful.
With DC getting its new co-CEOs this month, the future of the studio seems to be in good hands. As of now, the studio’s release slate remains the work of the past executives.DC will have some big releases next year with ‘The Flash’, ‘Shazam: Fury of The Gods’, Mamoa’s ‘Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom’, and ‘Blue Beetle’.
