The trailer for Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited new film Jawan is finally out. Of course, it’s quite late in the day for producers Red Chillies Entertainment to release the trailer for the buzzy film — merely eight days before the hotly anticipated film hits theatres in India. But now that the Jawan trailer is finally out, SRK fans are super delighted.
The Jawan trailer gives us even more insight into what the action thriller film is all about. Shah Rukh Khan — in multiple avatars — is a delight to watch – father, son, police officer, vigilante and more. Everything about the trailer is larger than life and over the top – the dialogues, the action sequences and more.
We get our first extended look at the primary antagonist, played by Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi. The actor brings his well-known charisma to his arms dealer character. Heck, he oozes charm even as he plays the big baddie in the Jawan trailer.
The trailer gives away the fact that the movie Jawan unfolds over two timelines – with Shah Rukh Khan playing both father and son. Deepika Padukone is breathtaking as the wife of the father, while Nayanthara plays the love interest of the son. Vijay Sethupathi as the villain, of course, is the common factor in both timelines.
Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Dogra, Astha Agarwal, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak play the girl gang, created by the vigilante Shah Rukh Khan. Sunil Grover plays assistant to cop Nayanthara. The trailer is average – there’s nothing outstanding about it. It gives major South Indian film vibes, as also does Anirudh Ravichander’s music.
The most explosive part of the trailer is the end part – when the older version of Shah Rukh Khan makes a dashing appearance. The actor hits all the right notes in those sequences, amping up excitement for the film. He truly sets the screen on fire then.
