The second trailer of Shahid Kapoor’s anticipated and delayed film Jersey released today. Initially the film was scheduled to release on New Year’s Eve but due to COVID and other situations, it went on getting pushed.
This film is a remake of a Telugu film by the same name and is even directed by the same helmer. The first trailer however was nothing but a reminiscence of Kabir Singh where multiple scenes looked like a direct imitation of the 2019 blockbuster thus milking it’s brand value.
Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film includes Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Ronit Kamra and Pankaj Kapoor in the lead role.
Regardless, talking about the trailer it is a pretty obvious fact that this time they have focused on the emotional aspect of the film. It shows the struggle of a 36 years old father to play cricket even after all the humiliations. Only because this could strengthen the chance of his son getting his favourite Jersey.
The film is scheduled to release on 14th April which is yet again a brainless act. Although KGF Chapter 2 is originally a Kannada film, it has a huge anticipation throughout the nation. So it will be extremely daunting for the film to do a certain magic at the box office but all we can do is to wait for the film to release.
