The new trailer for Saif Ali Khan’s Jewel Thief offers a more detailed look at what the movie is about. Co-starring Jaideep Ahlawat, the upcoming action-packed heist thriller is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on April 25.
Alongside Khan and Ahlawat, the film also features talents such as Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta.
Based on the trailer, Jewel Thief’s main plot revolves around Saif Ali Khan’s character, Rehan Roy—a highly skilled and cunning thief infamous for stealing precious artifacts from prominent museums across the globe. His life takes a dramatic turn when Jaideep Ahlawat’s character, Rajan Aulakh, a dangerous criminal, approaches him with an offer.
According to the deal, Rehan must steal the “Red Sun,” a large, dazzling diamond worth INR 500 crores. In return, Aulakh promises him half the diamond’s value—INR 250 crores. Meanwhile, Kunal Kapoor’s character, a determined cop, is hot on Rehan’s trail. But things begin to unravel when Aulakh double-crosses him.
Dutta plays Farah, Rehan’s love interest in Jewel Thief. The film is co-produced by Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand under the Marflix Pictures banner.
Saif’s earlier roles in the first two Race films seem to have influenced his performance in Jewel Thief. This movie also marks his return to Netflix following his acclaimed role in the crime series Sacred Games. Check out the new trailer!
