Jio Cinema has just revealed the first look and release date for its next original film, titled ‘Sergeant’. The Randeep Hooda starrer will premiere on Jio Cinema on 30th June, 2023, which is next Friday. The release date announcement for ‘Sergeant’ is in keeping with Jio Cinema’s promise of releasing one film every Friday for the viewing pleasure of its subscribers. Horror film ‘Aseq’ is the film slated for release on Jio Cinema this Friday, 23rd June.
‘Sergeant’ stars Randeep Hooda, Adil Hussain, Arun Govil and Sapna Pabbi in the primary roles. The film is a Jar Pictures production, the film banner led by producer Ajay Rai. The film has been directed by Prawaal Raman, who’s earlier written and directed the well-known horror films, Darna Mana Hai and Darna Zaroori Hai.
The story of ‘Sergeant’ centres on an unsolved murder case that is relegated to the back burner, until a diligent officer reopens the case. Randeep Hooda plays the officer, aka Sergeant, in the movie. Not much else is known about the film, except for the primary cast and crew.
