Fast rising Indian OTT platform Jio Cinema is all set to premiere its first original series under its newly revamped streaming platform. The series is the much-talked-about crime and police drama ‘Inspector Avinash‘. And the series will go live on Jio Cinema at 12 midnight tonight, and is free to stream for all viewers, irrespective of whether they have paid subscriptions or not.
Inspector Avinash features the very talented Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda in the lead role of supercop Avinash Mishra. The cast includes Urvashi Rautela, Amit Sial, Abhimanyu Singh, Shalin Bhanot, Freddy Daruwala, Rahul Mittra, and Adhyayan Suman, among others.
Interestingly, the stacked cast of Inspector Avinash features a peculiar, offbeat cast member – and it is Harjinder Singh. What is so offbeat and peculiar about Harjinder Singh, you may ask. Well, the strapping young actor is the son of none other than the self-styled godwoman Radhe Maa; yes, the lady synonymous with the bright red clothes and ‘trishul’ in one hand.
Harjinder Singh is playing a young and ambitious STF officer who has been newly recruited to investigate a rising crime syndicate in UP. He strives to prove his mettle and make an impression in the department.
How Radhe Maa’s son came to find a place in the cast of Inspector Avinash is a mystery. We’ll know more about the young man’s acting abilities when the series drops tonight on Jio Cinema.
‘Inspector Avinash’ is a crime drama that is inspired by the exploits of real-life police officer Avinash Mishra, who took on the arms mafia of Uttar Pradesh in the early nineties.
