Jio Cinema has just dropped the first teaser for its upcoming film, ‘Blind’. The Sonam Kapoor starrer releases on Jio Cinema on 7th July, 2023.
The first teaser for ‘Blind’ promises a film that is tense, violent and gripping. Of course, if you’ve already watched the Korean original, also called Blind, or its Tamil adaptation, ‘Netrikann’, then Sonam Kapoor’s Blind might not hold as much intrigue for you. For the rest of Jio Cinema’s followers, ‘Blind’ seems to be a film with edge-of-the-seat thrill, and plenty else to make it an interesting watch.
The ‘Blind’ teaser shows Sonam Kapoor as a blind woman, with extremely heightened senses of hearing, intuition and perception. Purab Kohli makes an appearance in the teaser as a cold-hearted serial killer, who is as brutal as he is ruthless. The ‘Blind’ teaser shows terrifying sequences of the extent of the killer’s ruthlessness.
Besides Sonam Kapoor and Purab Kohli, Blind stars Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey in key roles. ‘Blind’ is directed by Shome Makhija, and produced by Sujoy Ghosh, Avishek Ghosh, Hyunwoo Thomas Kim, Sachin Nahar, Pinkesh Nahar and Manish W.
‘Blind’ is a remake of the 2011 Korean film of the same name. The suspense thriller film has decided to skip theatres and release directly on streaming, on Jio Cinema. The film will mark the return of Sonam Kapoor to films, after a self-imposed hiatus of four years. Her last full-fledged release was The Zoya Factor, in 2019. She had also appeared in a cameo in Netflix film AK Vs AK in 2020.
