Jio Cinema has launched the trailer of its upcoming director to digital film ‘Ghudchadi’ and this one will instantly remind you of the recently released Zee5 original film ‘Luv Ki Arrange Marriage’. Helmed by Binoy Gandhi, ‘Ghudchadi’ will premiere only on Jio Cinema on 9th August, 2024.
The trailer begins with a fun, cool and good looking boy Chirag (Parth Samthaan) falling in love with smart, confident and beautiful Devika (Khushali Kumar) and after daring for a while they decide to get married. This also fulfills Chirag’s grandmother’s (Aruna Irani) wish of seeing his grandson getting married.
Soon the trailer moves forward to Colonel Veer (Sanjay Dutt), Chirag’s father, reuniting with his long lost love Menaka (Raveena Tandon) and old sparks are rekindled instantly. Now they too want to get married. But the twist is that Menaka is Devika’s mother. And as expected, starts a conundrum of events as to whose love story will win, the seniors or the juniors.
Now this premise is very similar to Zee5’s ’Luv Ki Arrange Marriage’ where something similar happens if not in totality. Just that ‘Ghudchadi’ seems to have a more prominent star cast with a bigger budget and grander scale. The fact that both the films have the same theme is undeniable.
And that leads to the question whether ‘Ghudchadi’ will meet the same fate as ‘Luv Ki Arrange Marriage’ that was underwhelming and could not impress much or will the star factor pull this romantic comedy and be a success.
Binoy Gandhi serves as the director for ‘Ghudchadi’ and has also written the film alongside Deepak Kapur Bhardwaj. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Parth Samthaan, Khushali Kumar, Aruna Irani, and Achint Kaur in prominent roles.
Produced by Nidhi Dutta; Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banners of Keep Dreaming Pictures and T-Series respectively, ‘Ghudchadi’ will start streaming on Jio Cinema from 9th August, 2024.
