Jio Studios has just dropped the first teaser for its upcoming film ‘Kotee’. The film is the first ever foray into Kannada cinema for Jio Studios. The content giant has announced 14th June as the release date in the theatres for Kotee.
Jio Studios’ Kannada movie ‘Kotee’ stars Kannada star Dhananjaya in the lead role of a man whose life goes through twists and turns as he strives to earn one crore rupees. Whether it is through legal or illegal means is the crux of the problem for his honest, law-abiding character, as he crosses swords with the antagonist, played by Ramesh Indira. Incidentally, the character played by Dhananjay is named ‘Kotee’, which translates to a crore in Kannada.
Kotee is written and directed by debutant Parameshwar Gundkalon, and produced by Jio Studios. Kantara fame cinematographer Pratheek Shetty will crank the camera for Kotee, while 777 Charlie composer Nobin Paul is handling the music of the film.
Besides Dhananjaya and Ramesh Indira, Kotee stars debutant actress Mokha Kushal as the female lead opposite Dhananjaya. the cast of the film are Rangayana Raghu, Tara, Moksha Kushal, Prithvi Shamanuru, Sardar Satya and Tanuja Venkatesh, among others.
