Late last week, The Walt Disney Company’s Hulu streaming platform debuted the first trailer for its ambitious film, ‘The Princess‘. The film stars The Kissing Booth star Joey King in the titular lead role. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the trailer of ‘The Princess’ is pure, kickass swag, with Joey King at her swashbuckling best.
‘The Princess’ trailer has Indian fans of Joey King (and there are legions of those) sitting up and taking notice of the upcoming film. We’ve been inundated with queries on where and when will The Princess stream in India, coz, as we know, Hulu isn’t available in our country.
We did some digging around, and now we have concrete information for you on the OTT platform and OTT release date for The Princess in India.
‘The Princess’ is a Hulu Original film; and since Hulu isn’t available anywhere else in the world except for the U.S., makers 20th Century Studios have promised that the film will arrive on all of Disney’s direct-to-consumer platforms. That means ‘The Princess’ will stream on Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America, Disney+ under the Star tab in related territories, and on Disney Plus Hotstar where Star+ and Disney+ are combined into Disney Plus Hotstar.
The release date for ‘The Princess’ is set as July 1 in all territories, including India, on Disney Plus Hotstar.
‘The Princess’ stars Joey King as a young, strong-willed princess who refuses to live her life as decided by the royal ecosystem. She takes on her tormentor in an action-packed fight to the death, with kickass moves to die for. The Princess is directed by Le-Van Kiet.
The official synopsis for ‘The Princess’ reads, “When a strong-willed princess refuses to wed a cruel sociopath, she is kidnapped and locked in a remote tower. With her scorned, vindictive suitor intent on taking her father’s throne, the princess must protect her family and save the kingdom.”
