A couple of weeks back, the makers of John Abraham starrer upcoming film ‘Attack Part 1’ had revealed an action-packed trailer. The movie is slated to release on 1st April 2022. And now, a second trailer for the movie has been released, and here is what we think about it.
‘Attack Part 1’ trailer starts off with John Abraham beating the hell of out some bad guys with the help of his built-in Jarvis-like AI. The subsequent reels showcase snippets of how he becomes the first human subject for a superpowered soldier. The trailer then shows us glimpses of the superhero’s final mission – a high-profile hostage situation and how he deals with the terrorists behind it. The trailer is a visual treat for action movie buffs and John Abraham fans alike.
Helmed by Lakshya Raj Anand in his feature film directorial debut, ‘Attack Part 1’ features handsome hunk John Abraham in the role of a former Army man Arjun Shergill, who is battling his own personal demons. He enlists for a government program that transforms him to become India’s first cybertronic humanoid super soldier to fight terrorists.
The film’s plot has seldom been explored before by mainstream Indian filmmakers. Although there are myriad Hollywood films with similar upgraded/enhanced humans’ concept and the list includes Roland Emmerich’s ‘Universal Soldier’, ‘I Robot’, ‘Robocop’, ‘Upgrade’, and ‘Hardcore Henry’, to name a few.
Besides John Abraham in the lead role, ‘Attack Part 1’ also features veteran actors Prakash Raj as Arjun’s boss, Ratna Pathak Shah as Arjun’s mother, Jacqueline Fernandes as his love interest, and Rakul Preet Singh in the role of a doctor.
John Abraham was last seen essaying triple roles in the critically panned ‘Satyamev Jayate 2’ and his forthcoming acting projects include Mohit Suri’s directorial ‘Ek Villain Returns’, Hindi remake of Malayalam film ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’, and of course Siddharth Anand’s much-awaited big-ticket spy thriller ‘Pathaan’ alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
