John Wick Helmer To Direct ‘Without Remorse’ Sequel ‘Rainbow Six’

In a fantastic piece of update for fans of Tom Clancy’s Ryanverse, the sequel to the 2021 action thriller movie ‘Without Remorse’ titled ‘Rainbow Six’ is officially moving forward. And not just that, the sequel has also tapped arguably the most suitable person to direct the project – Chad Stahelski.

‘Without Remorse’ featured Michael B. Jordan in the lead role and was based on Tom Clancy’s 1993 book of the same name, which revolved around John Clark’s origin story. The film was directed by ‘Sicario 2’ director Stefano Sollima. It was directly released on the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform in April 2021.

Although ‘Without Remorse’ was liked by franchise fans and die hard action movie buffs, it couldn’t create an impact beyond that. The film holds just 45% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.

So, a change of director for its upcoming sequel ‘Rainbow Six’ should do the trick. And considering the stuntman turned filmmaker Chad Stahelski’s works as a director in the three ‘John Wick’ films so far, we can be assured that ‘Rainbow Six’ will be nothing less than an explosive and entertaining actioner. So, seriously, it seems that there couldn’t have been a better choice than Chad Stahelski’ for a film like ‘Rainbow Six’.

In ‘Rainbow Six’, Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Black Panther) will reprise his role as former Navy SEAL John Clark. Although the film’s precise plot details are currently unknown, the story will ostensibly revolve around how John Clark’s character leads a multi-nation anti-terrorist team amidst the backdrop of a global conspiracy.

Unlike the direct-to-OTT release of ‘Without Remorse’, its sequel ‘Rainbow Six’ is expected to be a theatrical release. Production for ‘Rainbow Six’ is expected to commence after the release of Chad Stahelski’s eagerly anticipated film ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’, which comes out on 24th March.
