Yesterday, we had made our readers aware of the eminent Hollywood star Mel Gibson being the first actor to be roped in to play a new character called Cormac for the much-anticipated three-part miniseries ‘The Continental’. And now, the series has cast its lead actor along with five other actors who have joined Mel Gibson for the prequel.
Colin Woodell is set to play the lead role of a younger version of Winston Scott, a role that was originally played by Ian McShane in the ‘John Wick’ films. The series would be narrated from the perspective of Winston Scott – the enigmatic owner of the titular hotel ‘The Continental’.
The California born actor Colin Woodell is well known for his role as Rick Betancourt in the anthology series ‘The Purge’. Besides, he has also starred in various other projects including the computer screen horror flick ‘Unfriended: Dark Web’, supernatural show ‘The Originals’, political thriller ‘Designated Survivor’, and dark-comedy mystery-thriller series ‘The Flight Attendant’, amongst other acting projects.
Besides Colin Woodell as Winston Scott, five other actors will join him and Mel Gibson for the prequel series. They are Hubert Point-Du Jour (as Miles), Jessica Allain (as Lou), Mishel Prada (as KD), Nhung Kate (as Yen), and Ben Robson (as Frankie).
An Albert Hughes directorial, ‘The Continental’ would serve as a prequel to the Keanu Reeves’ starrer neo-noir and explosive ‘John Wick’ film series. It would ostensibly revolve around the origin story of the titular chain of hotels that prominently featured in the ‘John Wick’ universe.
The titular hotel serves as a neutral ground for assassins and hitmen, and a safe haven for the world’s most dangerous criminals. Each episode of the three-part miniseries would have a runtime of 90 minutes each. Stay tuned to Binged for further updates on the ‘John Wick’ prequel series ‘The Continental’.
