The Jonas Brothers are coming home for Christmas this year! As revealed by Variety, the popular pop-rock band is reuniting with Disney to create and star in a Christmas comedy movie, set to release during the 2025 holiday season.
The brotherly trio also confirmed the project through a short teaser video released by Disney+. In the video, Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas hold up a series of chart papers to build excitement. The final three papers reveal the message:
“We’re making a Christmas movie, coming out this holiday season. Only on Disney+!”
The upcoming Jonas Brothers Christmas movie, currently under a working title, follows the brothers as they encounter a series of challenges while trying to travel from London to New York for a Christmas reunion with their families.
Academy Award winner Jessica Yu (“This Is Us” and “Quiz Lady”) will helm the project, which results from 20th Television (one of the subsidiaries of Disney Television Studios). Writer-producer duo Elizabeth Berger and Isaac Aptaker are also associated with the movie.
The Jonas Brothers are also serving as co-producers, alongside Scott Morgan, Spencer Berman, and Adam Fishbach. Justin Tranter will pen down the movie’s original songs, along with serving as one of the executive producers.
The brotherly trio rose to fame through Disney. Their self-titled 2007 album, released on Hollywood Records, achieved platinum status. Appearances on the Disney Channel, including “Hannah Montana” and the “Camp Rock” films, catapulted them to stardom.
They disbanded in 2013 but reunited in 2019 with the hit single “Sucker,” topping the Billboard Hot 100. Their comeback album, “Happiness Begins,” also achieved chart success. In 2023, they released their sixth studio album, “The Album.”
