The much-awaited first glimpse from Jr NTR’s ‘Devara – Part 1’ was released on social media this evening. The Koratala Siva-directed film will release in two parts, with Devara Part 1 premiering in theatres worldwide on 5th April, 2024. ‘Devara’ will be a pan-India film, releasing in multiple Indian languages – in the original Telugu, along with Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi versions.
The Devara Glimpse is bold and bloody. Set in the pitch blackness of night, in the backdrop of an angry sea, the only light one sees is that which is reflected from the mighty sword of Jr NTR’s swashbuckling character, as he goes on a rampage, bludgeoning sundry rogues to death. The sea turns red with blood, while the beach is littered with dead bodies.
The story of ‘Devara’ is set in the world of sea pirates, who attack ships and loot their consignments. N. T. Rama Rao Jr. aka Jr NTR, plays the title role of Devaraju or Deva in the film. Saif Ali Khan plays primary antagonist in Devara Part 1, while Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead opposite N. T. Rama Rao Jr.
The first Devara glimpse does not give us a peek at Saif Ali Khan or Janhvi Kapoor’s characters in Devara Part 1. Besides the aforementioned three, Devara Part 1 also stars Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Mani Chandana, Shine Tom Chacko, Kalaiyarasan, Narain, Murali Sharma and Abhimanyu Singh in pivotal roles.
Devara Part 1 is written and directed by Koratala Siva, and produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Kosaraju Harikrishna under the banners Yuvasudha Arts and N. T. R. Arts. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for Devara.
