Netflix’s K-drama series, Hierarchy, is winning the hearts of the streamer’s subscribers in India. Helmed by Bae Hyeon-jin, the show’s events take place in the popular Jooshin High School, founded by South Korea’s top conglomerate, the Jooshin Group. This place selects children from the moment they are born. The series treasures an exhilarating tale of vengeance, compassion, friendship, and love, and revolves around eighteen young people.
Hierarchy ranked second on Netflix India’s Top 10 streaming chart (June 10 – June 16, 2024), following Bridgerton Season 3. With its growing popularity in the country, this K-drama series could claim the #1 spot soon. The show’s global performance has also been impressive. It gained the number one spot on the streamer’s Top 10 (Non-English) Shows list with over 6.3 million views and accumulated more than 48 million hours of viewing.
Debuting on Netflix on June 7, “Hierarchy” is directed by Bae Hyeon-jin and written by Chu Hye-mi. Hyeon-jin is best known for co-helming hit shows like Start-Up (2020), Big Mouth (2022), and Alchemy of Souls (2022-23). In addition, the series boasts a sensational cast including Roh Jeong-eui, Lee Chae-min, Kim Jae-won, Ji Hye-won, Lee Won-jung, and more. Production comes from the prominent South Korean company, Studio Dragon.
