Vidya Balan‘s Kahaani is one of Bollywood’s greatest thriller ever. The movie released in 2012 has taken the female-oriented films trend to the next level. Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh has released in 2016 but failed to live up to the expectations. Vidya Balan was asked if there is a chance to make the third installment of Kahaani.
“Please ask director Sujoy Ghosh. He is the only one with the answer. If he is not accessible to you. I will ask him and tell you,” Vidya Balan said. That indicates there are no plans for Kahaani 3 as of now and that will disappoint fans big time.
Vidya Balan will be next seen in Sherni which is skipping its theatrical release and will have its premiere on June 18th on Amazon Prime Video. Sherni has the actress play the role of an upright Forest Officer who strives for balance in a world of man-animal conflict while she also seeks her true calling in a hostile environment. This is the second major Bollywood release on OTT in the COVID Second Wave after Salman Khan’s Radhe. During the COVID first wave, Vidya’s Shakuntala also skipped its theatrical release but failed to impress the audience.
