Kajol’s upcoming slice-of-life drama ‘Salaam Venky’ released its first look poster yesterday with trailer release date. The actress was seen all smiles in a ravishing red saree holding Vishal (wheelchair ridden), who was also gleaming with happiness in the poster that revealed November 14th to be the trailer release date. As the trailer release date inches closer, we have learnt that Zee5 is the streaming partner of Salaam Venky.
Salaam Venky, one of the most awaited dramas of the year brings out a unique Actor-director combination in Revathi and Kajol. Directed by National Award winning Actress and Director (Mitr – My Friend) Revathi, Salaam Venky hits the theatres on 9th December. The first look poster had the logo of ‘Zee5’ making it official that the film would stream on the OTT platform post theatrical run.
According to rough synopsis floating around, Salaam Venky is Sujata (Kajol)and Venky’s (Vishal Jethwa) story. Sujata, an ideal mother, who battled the most challenging situations one can ever face with a smile. In short, Salaam Venky is a testament of a mother’s bravado in full glory.
Revathi, who directed the national award-winning film Mitr: My Friend, returns back to direction after years with Salaam Venky.The film is produced by Suraj Singh and Shraddha Agrawal through Blive Productions and RTake Studios.
